Question: Is it permissible to pray more than 1 Jumu’ah Prayer in a Masjid?

To perform Salat al-Jumu’ah with Jama’at in a Masjid where the first Jumu’ah prayer has already been performed is impermissible.
In Fatawa ‘Alamgiri, it is stated that, if a group of people miss the Jama’at of Jumu’ah in a city, the group of people will have to perform Dhuhr without Adhan, Iqamah and Jama’at.
The same ruling is mentioned in Bahr al-Ra’iq Vol 2 Pg.154
Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رحمه الله mentions this scenario in Fatawa Ridawiyyah vol 8 Pg.322 and states:
To perform the second Jumu’ah in a masjid where Jumu’ah has already taken place is extremely disliked, a bad innovation and against the purpose of Shariah. He further states, without any doubt, this is ابتداع فى الدين (an innovation in the religion).
