Question: Can we give others the title of Abdul Mustafa out of respect? Can we name children Abdul Mustafa? Is there anything wrong in calling ourselves the servants of Rasululah ﷺ?
Answer:
الجواب بعون الملك الوهاب
Allah states in the Quran (Surah Zumur V53)
Say (O My Beloved) O servants of mine….
So according to this verse the prophet called his servants “يا عبادى” (o my servants)
Therefore it is permissible to call yourself Abdul Mustafa
The imam of Prophetic love, Sayyidi Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رحمه الله says:
یاعبادی کہ کے ہم کو شاہ نے
بندہ اپنا کر لیا پھر تجھ کو کیا
He also says about himself
خوف نہ رکھ رضا ذرا تو تو ہے عبد مصطفٰی
تیرے لیے امان ہے تیرے لیے امان ہے
واللہ تعالی اعلم
